It is offered as a Hybrid - Student led
(student learns cognitive meets for hands-on labs) 

This course is approximately 275 hours cognitive with approximately  150 psychomotor skills.

Students are able to choose their best learning option.

  • Location:       3820 N. 2nd St, Philadelphia, PA 19140
  • Parking is in the parking is on-site or public transportation within 1/8 of mile
  • Attendance for this course is very strict.  Please email or call to discuss conflicts prior to registering.


REQUIREMENTS:
  • Participants must be at least 16 years old and must submit a
    • Resident: Pennsylvania Criminal History, Pennsylvania Child Abuse Clearance.
    • Non-Resident: FBI Fingerprint Background Check
  • Must have
    • government issued photo ID with signature
    • U.S. Social Security Number. (Out of country college students contact are still eligible, please contact the office for further instructions)
  • Upon Successful Course Completion: Students who successfully complete the EMT course will be eligible to take the PA State certification exam, which consists of seven practical stations and a written exam through the National Registry of EMT's (NREMT).  There is a $95.00 Pearson Vue testing fee for the written exam (not included in the course fee). Upon successful completion of all state testing, the student will receive a Pennsylvania-State EMT-B Certification and a NREMT EMT-B Certification.

Additional Costs:
  • Cognitive Exam: $95 per attempt. Upon successful completion of the class and passing the state psycho-motor exam students will need to sit for the NREMT written exam; there is a $95.00 Pearson Vue testing fee for the written exam not included in the course fee. These fee is subject to change.
  • Pennsylvania Criminal History: Volunteer is free
  • Pennsylvania Child Abuse Clearance: Volunteer is free
  • All Missed Labs:  $40/hour
  • Missed Exams and/or Retest Exams: $40/hour
  • Does not include transportation to patient contact sites - not included in course fees
