TVEMT is proud to offer an EMT certification course at Washington Hose. Registration for this course is open to the public.

The EMT course held at Washington Hose is offered as a Traditional (instructor led) or Hybrid (students do cognitive work at home and meet for hands-on labs on site weekly) course.  This course allows students to pick the learning that will best fit them.

Requirements
  • Participants must be at least 16 years old at the conclusion of the course.
  • Must submit a Pennsylvania Criminal History, Pennsylvania Child Abuse Clearance.
  • Must have a U.S. Social Security Number.
  • Upon Successful Course Completion: Students who successfully complete the EMT course will be eligible to take the PA State certification exam, which consists of seven practical stations and a written exam through the National Registry of EMT's (NREMT).  There is a $95.00 Pearson Vue testing fee for the written exam (not included in the course fee). Upon successful completion of all state testing, the student will receive a Pennsylvania-State EMT-B Certification and a NREMT EMT-B Certification.

  • Class Size: Limited  and will sell out fast. Seating will be on a "first registered - first seated basis" so please register early to ensure a seat in the class.
  • Attendance:
    • Students must attend a mandatory orientation night.   January 4, 2021 18:00 - 22:00 Location:  Washington Hose Fire Co; 376 E. Lincoln Highway, Coatesville, PA
      • Parking behind Masonic Building or street parking
    • Attendance for this course is very strict.  Please email or call to discuss conflicts prior to registering.

 Your receipt will serve as proof of registration.  By registering you agree to the terms of the course.  If you have any questions please email for more information.

Installments are not accepted for this course.  Payment in full only.
  • Registration Includes:  hands-on labs, initial exams, final exam and final retest. (if purchased course + materials it will also include: textbook, online codes, and diagnostic kit)  (If purchased course + student purchases materials click the button to the left for a list of course materials that must be obtained prior to the administration night)
  • TVEMT is happy to bill a third party you would like to use, however your spot in the class will not be secured until all payment is received. 
  • You will receive an email within one week of full payment with additional details for the first day of class.  You will receive all physical materials on the first day of class.
  • Students must also have an analog watch with a "second-hand".     Digital watches, smart watches, and/or cell phones will not be accepted.
  • Successful Completion Criteria

Additional Costs
  • Cognitive Exam: $95 per attempt. Upon successful completion of the class and passing the state psycho-motor exam students will need to sit for the NREMT written exam; there is a $95.00 Pearson Vue testing fee for the written exam not included in the course fee. These fee is subject to change.
  • Pennsylvania Criminal History: $10 is not included in the course
  • Pennsylvania Child Abuse Clearance: $10 is not included in the course.
  • All Missed Labs:  $40/hour
  • Missed Exams and/or Retest Exams: $40/hour
  • Does not include transportation to patient contact sites - not included in course fees

Cancellation Policy
Washington Hose Traditional Spring 2021:
Cancellations will be refunded in full up to  December 21, 2021. 
After December 21, 2021  NO REFUNDS, NO EXCEPTIONS!!!  Regardless of registration date.
